The basics

What is Crispy Edits?

Crispy Edits is a subscription video editing service sold by the hour. You pick a plan size, get a pool of dedicated editing hours every month, send footage and briefs through an online dashboard, and your editor sends back finished videos. Plans start at $959 a month.

Who is behind Crispy Edits?

Crispy Edits was founded by Jonathan Bowman and Geoff Ice and comes from the team at JBowman Creative, a digital marketing and video production agency in Nashville, Tennessee.

Who is it for?

Marketers, creators, agencies, and brands that publish video every week and want a reliable editing team without hiring in house or managing freelancers.

What kinds of video do you edit?

Short form social video for Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts, long form YouTube videos, ads and promos, podcasts and webinars, testimonial and brand videos, and short cuts repurposed from longer recordings.

Do you film video too?

Crispy Edits is editing only, and you supply the footage. If you need a shoot in the Nashville area, our sister team at JBowman Creative handles full video production.

Hours, turnaround, and revisions

What does Daily Hours mean?

It is the size of your plan, and it sets your monthly pool of editing hours. 2 Daily Hours is 42 hours a month, 4 Daily Hours is 84, and 6 Daily Hours is 126. Your full pool is ready at the start of every month, and you use it at your own pace, all in one week or spread across the month.

What counts against my hours?

The time your editor spends on your projects: cutting, color, audio, captions, graphics, exports, and revisions. Time is logged to the minute as the work happens and shows in your dashboard.

What if I use less than my hours?

Unused hours from a month stay available for 30 days after that month ends. That is true on monthly, quarterly, and annual billing, and you still get a fresh pool every month.

How fast can you turn around a video?

The 6, 7 and 8 Daily Hours plans deliver in 24 to 48 hours. The 4 and 5 Daily Hours plans deliver in 48 to 72 hours. The 2 and 3 Daily Hours plans deliver in 72 to 96 hours. The clock starts once your brief and footage are in.

What if I need revisions?

Ask for as many as you need. Revisions use your hours like any other editing, and most rounds take well under an hour. Leave time coded comments in Frame.io and your editor works through them.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Cancel whenever you like and you keep access until the period you paid for ends. You can also move up or down a plan whenever your workload changes.

What file types do you accept?

MP4, MOV, AVI, RAW camera formats, audio files, scripts, brand guidelines, and links to footage in cloud storage. Send everything you have and your editor sorts it.

Do I get the same editor each time?

Yes. Every plan comes with a dedicated editor who learns your brand. From the 6 Daily Hours plan up, a senior editor also oversees the look of every project.

How long does a video take to edit?

A short form reel typically takes 1 to 2 hours, an ad or promo 2 to 4 hours, and a long form YouTube video 6 to 10 hours. Your footage and your notes decide the real number, and your dashboard shows it for every project. See what your hours buy.

What if a project needs more hours than I have left?

Your work keeps moving. We contact you before your hours run out and you choose: move up a plan, or approve extra hours that are added to your next payment. Extra hours are only used after you approve them.

What is included in every edit?

Story cut, color correction, audio cleanup, licensed music, captions, titles, and lower thirds. Custom animation is available too and uses your hours like any other editing.

How do I send footage?

Upload files directly when you create a request, or paste links to footage in Google Drive, Dropbox, or other cloud storage. Add reference videos, scripts, and brand files to the same request.

What is Frame.io and do I need an account?

Frame.io is a video review tool used across the film and marketing industry. It lets you click on any frame and leave a note at that exact moment. Frame.io review is included on every plan and opens from your dashboard.

What does AI assist do?

When you write a request, AI assist turns rough notes into a structured brief with a title, format, tone, and list of deliverables. You can edit everything before you submit. Your videos are edited by people.
